Communication & Transparency

As we approach the New Year with major transitions in sight, one of the most important things to remember is to communicate. Transparent communication is one of the major tools for reducing stress in relationships and on the job. If people are not given enough information they tend to make things up. All suffering arises from the mind, so the more information individuals have, the less the mind will produce fear, deceit and anger.
It is important to remain curious, asks questions, engage in healthy, transparent conflict and communications in order to reduce "making up" what we fear. We can not change others, we can only change ourselves and our reactions to what is arising inside of us.
Don Miguel Ruiz offers us 4 important things to be with in our interactions:
*Make no assumptions
*Take nothing personally
*Be impeccable with your words
*Be the best that you can be in any given moment
If we approach the New Year with these 4 things in mind, remain open to communicating transparently and monitor our reactivity, we will be able to manage anything that comes our way.

The Times are Changing

In this changing time it is imperative that we determine the course we want to be on and then head in that direction. Do not react to life from a position of fear, it only creates more fear and contraction. When we remember who we are and what it is that we are here to do, then the choice is simple and we can respond to life instead of reacting. Stay focused on your "mission" and the change that you want to create in life and stay the course with fluidity, not rigidity.
As our jobs change/shift and the economy and world shifts remember to be as centered as possible in your interactions with yourself and the others around you.
Those who remain fluid and open to "what's new or what's next" in the shifting times will survive the chaos/disorder that appears when times shift and change. Chaos brings Order and then it happens all over again, Order and then Chaos...Stay Awake and Aware of your reactive patterns! Stay in the present moment and embrace the change that is occurring, on the job and off ...who knows where life is leading us!
